So here's a pic of the newly renovated attic, contrasted with the "before" shot. I promised you such a shot, and I did deliver... well, actually, P did. The attic has since been carpeted and we have a bunch of boxes up there that have yet to be unpacked, but you get the idea.

my new plan

Has it really been so long since I logged an entry? Well, we were moving, so I have an excuse, I suppose. Now that my home office is newly carpeted, I can finally unpack my books, which is the sign that I'm getting settled. Just a few more book boxes to unpack...

The new plan, according to P. and my advisor (and me--did I forget to say me?) is that I should be able to complete the dissertation in a year and a half. A year and a half. Just saying it makes me nervous. But I am inspired by the recent graduations, including the one I will attend tomorrow as a faculty member. I want to finish, I want to no longer be looking forward to a graduation where I will be graduating. I think I'm ready for it to be behind me. Now I just have to write the damn thing. Hmm.
