All is well. j got his evaluations from school in preparation for his IEP meeting to determine services for next year, when he's in kindergarten (yikes!). The gist of these observations is not much of a surprise--he's on track "academically" but sometimes has a difficult time listening and interacting in social situations. There were many references (from different teachers) about his non-stop singing.
The award for best line in an evaluation goes to j's teacher M (who he's had now for two years):
j will sometimes answer a question with an unrelated statement. For example, when asked "What's the weather today?" j might respond "I can sing De Colores."
